State-specific · Michigan module

Built for Michigan — not a UBE bootcamp.

01 · questions only the BLE examiners ask

MI-only essay pool + non-MBCA + EPIC overlays.

MCL § 450 Business Corporation Act — Michigan’s non-MBCA framework (director duties under MCL 450.1541a + appraisal under MCL 450.1490); MCL 700 Estates & Protected Individuals Code — Michigan’s UPC adoption (elective share under § 2-201 + will execution under § 2-502); MCL § 552 Divorce + MCL § 722 Custody Parenting Act; MCR 2 Civil Procedure (≠ FRCP); MCL § 750 Criminal Code + MCR 6 Criminal Procedure; MRE 803(6) Evidence; MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5 ethics. Day-2 AM is the 200-question multistate MBE.

02 · essay patterns MI graders reward

Cite MCL § first, MCR second.

Source-first IRAC: MCL § X / MCL 700.NNN / MCL 750.NNN, then MCR Y, then MRE 803(6), then MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5 — citation form MCL 700 (Michigan’s UPC adoption) cites the UPC section number Michigan adopted. Graders read the MCL-form authority, not the multistate analogue label.

03 · AI grading calibrated to MI scoring

BLE 1–6 scale against the four-axis rubric.

Issue-spotting · MI-authority spot-check (MCL § + MCR + MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5) · MI-rule statement · IRAC application · per-issue conclusion — scored on the same axes the Michigan Board of Law Examiners readers use, with MRPC clusters scored on the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct (not ABA Model Rules).

04 · paced calendar dedicated to MI

13-week schedule for the Michigan BLE.

Two-Day Michigan Bar Examination (Feb / July — last Tue / last Wed, NOT Feb/July 2026 cycle on Feb 24 / July 28); per-week block cadence sized for working and repeat candidates, with MCL § 450 Business Associations + MCL 700 Probate + MCL § 552 dissolution + MCL § 722 parenting + MCL § 565 Real Property + MCR 2 weeks called out, not bolted on.

A wooden courtroom bench with the judge’s podium in soft light.
A quiet law library with green-shaded reading lamps and rows of bound legal volumes.
A desk lamp beside stacked books with a window in soft afternoon light.

Michigan bar prep, in three frames — a wooden courtroom bench with the judge’s podium in soft light; a quiet law library with green-shaded reading lamps and rows of bound legal volumes; and a study desk for the late-afternoon run.

Michigan module · $499

One bundle. Four Michigan slices.

Michigan runs the BLE — its own bar exam, not the UBE. The Michigan module is written for that: a Michigan essay outline anchored to MCL § 450 + MCL 700 + MCL § 552 + MCL § 722 + MCL § 559 + MCL § 565 + MCR 2 + MCL § 750 + MRE + MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5, a Michigan-tuned MBE + essay drill slice, a 3-month strategy with a 13-week calendar, and a 90-minute MPT-style workspace anchored to Michigan authorities — unbundled nowhere else.

The Michigan module ships at the same $499 one-time pricing as the California, Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi and Massachusetts modules. After Stripe confirms your purchase, access opens online and stays live until your window closes — instant, no shipment, no handoff.

Already paid? Paste your Stripe session id or the email you used at checkout in the Find Access card on the right. The handle routes you back to the same slice pages without re-buying.

Slice 01 · Michigan essay outline

Day 1 AM · Michigan essay outline

Jud. Ct. R.).

Slice 02 · Michigan-tuned MBE bank

A bank tagged across all 7 MBE subjects with Michigan overlays — MCL § 450 (non-MBCA director duty under MCL 450.1541a — Michigan does NOT use the Model Business Corporation Act), MCL 700 (EPIC elective share under § 2-201 + will execution under § 2-502), MCL § 552 property division, MCL § 559 (Landlord-Tenant), MCR 2 (Civil Procedure, not FRCP), MCL § 750 (Criminal Code), and MRE 803(6) Evidence — wherever the multistate rule diverges from Michigan practice.

Michigan Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners · admission

What every Michigan candidate has to clear before sitting.

The four administrative facts every Michigan candidate needs — sourced to the Michigan Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners, the Michigan Court Rules, the Michigan Compiled Laws, and the Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct under MCR 8.4 / 8.5. This is the statutory ground the module is written on top of, not a marketing pitch.

01 · administrator

Michigan Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners (BLE)

Bar admission is administered by the Michigan Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners acting under the authority of the Michigan Supreme Court. The Board processes applications, administers the BLE on the last Tuesday of February and the last Wednesday of July, and certifies admissions.

02 · eligibility

JD from an ABA-approved law school (no Law Office Study alternative)

JD from an ABA-approved law school is the default eligibility path under the Michigan Court Rules. Michigan does NOT honor a Law Office Study pathway; the BLE does not accept the California / NY / VA apprentice-style alternative for Michigan admission.

03 · the bar exam

One-and-a-half-day BLE · Feb & July · 6 essays + MPT-style + 200-question MBE

Day 1 AM: six 30-minute essays on the BLE topic pool (3 hours). Day 1 PM: an MPT-style task (3 hours). Day 2 AM: 200-question multistate MBE (6 hours, two 3-hour sessions). The BLE publishes the topic list before each administration.

04 · MPRE + MRPC

MPRE scaled ≥ 85 + MRPC + post-admission CLE

The MPRE scaled ≥ 85 is required within the eligibility window — the HIGH-MPRE tier shared with NY/NH/MA/WA/OH/CO/TX/AZ/UT, ABOVE the 80 DEFAULT-MPRE tier shared with NC/VA/IL/MO/IN/IA/NE/ME. The Michigan Rules of Professional Conduct (MRPC) under MCR 8.4 / 8.5 govern ethical practice post-admission. Post-admission CLE includes the jurisdiction-specific professional-responsibility requirement.

Barloom vs legacy multi-state course

What you actually pay for — versus the chapters you will never sit in.

Two ways to study for the Michigan bar. One is written for the authority you sit under; the other bundles chapters and essay coverage for every U.S. jurisdiction, including the ones you will never test in. The four rows below are the four pieces the price tag decides between — feature-level, not dollar figures.

Barloom · Michigan module
state-specific

Written for Michigan, not for every state.

  • State-specific outline

    Essays anchored to Michigan authorities — MCL § 450 (non-MBCA Business Corporation Act) + MCL 700 (EPIC) + MCL § 552 + MCL § 750 + MCR 2 + MCR 6 + MRE 803(6) + MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5. No chapters on the jurisdictions you will never sit in.

  • Michigan-tuned MBE bank

Every multiple-choice carries the Michigan statutory + constitutional overlay where the multistate rule diverges from local practice — not a paid add-on chapter shipped separately.

  • Paced calendar, written for Michigan

A schedule built around the Feb (last Tue) / July (last Wed) BLE administration, with uneven-week and repeat-candidate recovery rules tuned to your actual sitting date — not retrofitted from a multistate template.

  • AI-graded essays on the Michigan rubric

Drafts scored against the BLE Day-1 essay / MBE blend rubric — BLE essay + MBE pass / no-pass. Self-graded against your own draft is not the default.

Legacy · multi-state course
generic

One bundle, every jurisdiction, one flat price.

  • One-size-fits-all outline

You pay for chapters and essay coverage across 50+ jurisdictions — including the ones you will never sit in.

  • Generic MBE bank

State-specific overlays are sold as a paid add-on chapter, or are not provided at all.

  • Multistate calendar, retrofitted

A national cadence patched to your sitting date — uneven-week and repeat-candidate recovery rules stay generic.

  • Self-graded essays

Human graders ship as a paid add-on upgrade; otherwise you grade against your own draft.

Legacy multi-state pricing shifts by provider and by year; this block is feature-level, not dollar-figure, so it stays evergreen as the market moves. The Michigan column says exactly what the Barloom module ships — anchored to Michigan authorities end to end.

Michigan module · FAQ

The four questions buyers ask before purchasing.

These are the questions Michigan candidates ask before pulling the trigger. The first two are about scope; the second two are about mechanics.

What does the Michigan module include?

Four slices — a Day-1-AM Michigan essay outline anchored to MCL § 450 + MCL 700 + MCL 552 + MCL 559 + MCR 2 + MCL 750 + MRE + MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5, a Day-1-PM MPT-style workspace, a Day-2-AM Michigan-tuned MBE bank, and a 3-month strategy with a 13-week calendar — plus the guide library (3 guides) and an academic-content list (12 essay prompts sized for the Michigan cycle). The purchase unlocks every slice for the duration of your access window.

Why is Michigan structured as a non-UBE module?

Michigan runs the Michigan Bar Examination (MBE-style BBE) — its own one-and-a-half-day exam administered twice a year (last Tuesday of February / last Wednesday of July) under the Michigan Supreme Court Board of Law Examiners (BLE). The exam is a single sitting with six 30-minute Day-1 AM essays on the BLE-published topic pool, a Day-1 PM MPT-style task, and the 200-question multistate MBE on Day 2 AM. Every Michigan-flavored question must be anchored to Michigan authorities — MCL § X, MCL 700.NNN, MCR Y, MRE Z, MRPC under MCR 8.4 / 8.5 — and the module matches that: every essay example names the Michigan source, every MBE overlay points to a Michigan authority, and the MPT-style workspace remaps the 90-minute time budget to MCL § / MCL 700 instead of the multistate equivalents.

How does the price match the rest of the modules?

The Michigan module ships at the same $499 one-time pricing as the California, Louisiana, Florida, Mississippi, Massachusetts and South Dakota modules — one barcode, one price, one access window. No separate essay SKU; the bundle is the slice. Pricing is sourced from the deployed StateModule row, so the live amount follows the same authoritative source.

How do I find the public preview before buying?

No public preview is shipped for Michigan in this release. The /module/michigan page lists every slice + the 3-guide library + the Michigan BLE admission block + the FAQ; clicking a slice CTA opens the bundled slice inside your access window post-purchase. Stripe-handle identity-gate keeps the slices reachable from any device.

What's the refund policy if I'm called into the BLE after purchase?

The full refund terms ship in the post-purchase confirmation email — that document specifies the window in days, the small Stripe processing deduction, and the consumption cap (the percent of bundled slices you can view before the refund window closes). If you can't find that email, reply to barstudyprep@polsia.app with the email address you used at checkout and we'll resend the terms and start a refund request in the same thread.
